Duncan Macfarlane is a Senior Consultant at Crook Publicity with experience in media management, client–based publishing and investor relations.

His clients include some of Queensland's biggest listed and unlisted companies from the property, funds management and finance industries.

Duncan joined Crook Publicity after nearly a decade working as a journalist at leading news outlets in Australia and Asia, experience that has given him an extensive practical knowledge of how the media operates and a wide network of media contacts.

Duncan started his reporting career at The Australian Financial Review in Sydney, before moving to The Australian, which he worked for in Sydney, the Canberra press gallery and Brisbane. He has covered a wide range of areas including listed property, politics and crime, as well as writing editorials.

Prior to joining Crook Publicity, Duncan spent two years working as a senior sub–editor on the finance desk of an international newswire in Beijing and also worked as a sub–editor at The Courier–Mail in Brisbane.
